Four days in Academia Barilla

A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of welcoming into our facility a group organized by JetSetter, an online community which proposes to its subscribers the best vacation offers through out the world.

The Jetsetter group

In the five days they spent with us, we offered them the best of the Italian Gastronomic Culture.

Our guests stayed at the Grand Hotel de la Ville in Parma where they were welcomed by Edoardo, an Academia Barilla representative, for a “get to know” aperitif. The next day the group took part to a full day hands-on cooking experience with one of Academia Barilla’s finest chefs: Mario Grazia. Mario introduced our guest to the secrets of Italian cuisine, teaching them how to prepare Spaghetti alla Chitarra, Involtini Sardi con Verza e Tagliatelle alla Bolognese, all paired with great Italian wines.

The following day was devoted to discovering the best of the best of Italian Gastronomy with the help of an expert guide: il Parmigiano Reggiano cheese and the Prosciutto di Parma.

Lunch was arranged at a local winery set in the hills of Parma, a stone throw from the beautiful castle of Torrechiara, where a selection of wines was tasted.

We are sure we transmitted to our guests all of our passion for gastronomy and Italian food in general and allowed them to live a truly great foodie experience…

So please join me for a round of applause to the new chefs:
